We had a wonderful time at Helsinki Int Ch, Winner-2000 Show!
76 welsh springers entered!There were 4 "Bentons" entered
and they took three out of the four possible titles!
Benton Deep Feelings is now Finnish Winner-2000
Benton Good Heavens is now Finnish Junior Winner-2000 and
NORDW-00 Benton Garden Party is now also Finnish Junior Winner-2000!!
My breeders class was the only spaniel group that was
shortlisted among the last 10 in the big ring.
"These dogs are very true to type, all have attractive
heads with lots of balance, very typical overall.

at the Dutch Welsh Springer Spaniel Club Ch show in Holland in
a junior class of 14 dogs. The judge was Julie Revill, Kennel Julita, UK
"Very attractive 11 months. Good bone, superd feet, nice shoulders.
Good angulation behind, excellent 2nd thigh. Alltogether a very nice
youngster who I am sure will continue improve moved well front + rear."

Stetson aka Benton Essence`O`Wales had earned his Working Dog Certificate
and he can now add WD after his name. At the same test, he was
awarded "GUNNERS AWARD", which means out of all of the dogs in the test he
was the one they would most like to hunt behind.

Best in Sweepstakes was Sandy Holmes homebred bitch Trystyn`s Hula Popper.
Today at another show, Adrienne Banckers Rwyn Heavens Telstar went WB, BOW and BOB from
12-18 mos class. She is by Am Ch Statesmans Ammo ex Ch Rwyn Notre Dame. BOS went
to Am Ch Statesmans Tennyson. RWD was Benton Essence`O`Wales, WD. All the mainwinners
have very close Scandinavian connection.

Stetson continues to do well at the shows in America.
Since his "big win" at the American Spaniel Club, he has
been shown three times, going WD & BOW each time
collecting 5 more points. This with his earlier 3-point
major makes his total up to 13 points. He just needs 2 more
points to finish his AM CH title. He will not be shown
until the National Speciality Weekend in May. Sandy does
not want him to finish before the Nationals.
