Benton breeders group winning BEST IN SHOW at Finnish Winner show

What a weekend! Finnish Winner and Nordic Winner shows took place
this weekend in Helsinki.
I was told they were the biggest International one day dog shows
ever. Benton breeders
group took on saturday BIS breeders and on sunday BIS-2 breeders
among the record number of
groups ever shown on one day. Benton WSS was the only breed to be
placed both days in BIS
breeders. Needless to say we are on cloud nine!
Ch Benton One More Duck took BOB both days and best finnish dog
in FCI group 8, placing Group-3 on
saturday and Group-4 on sunday. He sure was not in just any company,
on saturday he was only beaten
by top gundogs in Norway and Sweden, the great flat Ch Almanza Far
& Flyg and the wonderful american cocker Ch Caci's Cute Carmen
at LD's! He therefore added title FINW-05 and NORDW-05 in front
of his name:
On sunday two more titles to our 'team' as the juniors Benton Pigs
Might Fly and Benton Pep Talk can now
call themselves as Nordic Junior Winners-05. Their mother Ch Benton
Let Em Talk was again almost there;
winning Best bitch-2 both day and so missing another titles. More

Finnish Kennel Clubs "Dog of The Year", "Breeder
of the Year competition 2005" is over.
We are happy to note that Benton WSS had a great year in these competitions.
Kennel Benton finished as #21 in top breeder competition (#2 from
FCI group 8 after
Adamants ESS). Last but not least FIN & N CH Multi W Benton
One More Duck made breed
history by finishing the year as # 10 in top dog all breeds and
#1 gundog 2005 in the competition.

the best girl aka Sara-Inkeri Bernadotte Jaakkola. Here is another
grandson, he was
also born in the US, but his dad is Dutch Ch Benton Kansas Storm
(Saras son), who is living

It has been a while since I updated. Several nice showresults during
the last month,
more information on showresults 2005. Last weekend we had again
our big annual
Hyvinkaa Spaniel Specialty. It turned out to be a good show again
for Benton WSS.
Ch Benton Let Em Talk "Martta" was in top form and maybe looking
the best she has ever looked and took BOB and went on to BIS-2!!!
It was such a pleasure to see this lovely moving bitch gaiting around
the ring! BOS to Ch Benton One More Duck.
Marttas daughters Benton Pep Talk and Benton Pearl at Wesper were
also shown.
"Ilona" aka Benton Pep Talk made her deput at shows and took BOB
puppy! It was great to see she has inherited several of her mothers
qualities that I so much like, including the showmanship. I am so
much looking forward to showing her in the future.

It ended up being a good weekend for Ida and Simon. On sunday, they
took again BOB and BOS. Simon (Am Ch Benton Nevada Storm) winning
BOB and Ida (Benton Olympic Fire) collecting 3 more points. She
now needs 4 points to finish her AM CH title! Way to go!!!
The weekend proved to be a good one in obedience trials as well.
The talented, Fin Ch Benton Just My Style, got 1st prize in Winners
Class!!!! Well done Elina and Miska. It has been 4 years since a
WSS has taken 1st prize in winners class!!

continued their success also today at Newton KC shows in New Jersey,
USA. Simon went BOB again and Ida took BOS with a 4-point major.
She is well on her way to finish her AM CH title with only limited
showing!

At Pieksamaki Ch show Steffi aka Benton No More Secrets took her
final CC (after turning 2 years on 19 aug 05) and went BOB under
Tarja Hovila (Adamants fame). She is now officially FIN CH! Well
done Irma and Steffi. At the same show Eds (FIN & N CH Benton
Lookin' For Duck) kids did well too, besides Steffi, BOS went to
Standard-Bearer Gladiator and BOB puppy to Korpinotkon Filimistara!
Well done to all concerned!

CC's and on sunday he almost hit the jackpot at Heinola All Breed
Show by going BOB, Group-1 and BIS-2!!!

She went to Newton KC show in the US on friday 02 aug to take Winners
Bitch, Best of Winners and her first major, 4-points!! At the same
show AM CH Benton Nevada Storm went all the way to BOB!!! Well done
to the LaBorne family!!! Ida and Simon continue their jobs this
weekend at two more shows, lets hope for more success!!

At Hameenlinna Int Ch show we took again BOB and BOS, Usko aka Benton
One More Duck took his 35th CC and also one more CACIB. Jenny aka
Benton Mine For Keeps surprised us all, she only started to be shown
this summer, as we wanted to wait till she matures. She showed beautifully
and took her 2nd CC and first CACIB and ended up BOS. My breeders
group was BOB and later on in the finals BIS!! Thanks to all concerned!!
The same weekend Raky aka CZ & CRO CH Benton Minnesota Storm
was shown at Bratislava Int Ch shows in Slovakia and finished her
SLOVAK CHAMPION title. Well done Raky and Marie!!

We had our annual Sweden tour again, the Swedish WSSC Club Show
and Nykoping SKK all breeds Ch show. We packed our car and had four
dogs with us; Benton One More Duck, Ch Benton Kings Cross, Ch Benton
Lets Go Girls and Int Ch Benton Delaware Storm. On saturday at the
club show, "Usko" aka Benton One More Duck repeated his win from
last year and took BEST IN SHOW! The judges were Mr and Mrs Bryant
(Kennel Thurbry, UK).
The next day at Nykoping SKK all breed Ch show, Benton One More
Duck took BOB and CC #34 again, BOS and new Swedish Show Champion
to FIN CH Benton Lets Go Girls! Ch Benton Kings Cross was 2nd best
male and Int Ch Benton Delaware Storm was 2nd best bitch and BOB
veteran. It could not have gone better in the breed ring. Our judge
this time was Mrs Gloria Mitcham-Geringer from USA. The success
continued in the afternoon, Usko took Group-1 under gundog specialist
Mr Henric Frykstrand, Sweden and went on to take honourable BIS-4
placement in a very tough competition under Mrs Annica Ulltweit-Moe!
Well done again Hannele and Usko!!! Congratulations also to Anne
and Sara on Saras new champion title!
While we were in Sweden, FIN & S CH Benton Let Em Talk returned
back to the showrings after her litter with style. She took BOB
at Turku all breed show and went on to Group-2!! Well done Martta

One More Duck took his 32nd CC and 4th CACIB going BOB. 11th CC
and 2nd CACIB went to Benton No More Secrets. The grand old lady,
my pride and joy, Int Ch Benton Delaware Storm was only beaten by
her daughter Steffi in best bitch class and finished BB-2 and BOB
veteran. Fin Ch Benton Lets Go Girls won champion class and was
BB4.
In the finals Benton breeders group was BIS-2!!!! Benton One More
Duck did what he has been doing lately, winning the gundog group
again!! Well done Hannele, Irma, Anne & co!!!

What an incredible week! We were barely back on our feet from last
weekend and its results. Usko aka Benton One More Duck did show,
that it was only a start. At Ristiina All Breed Ch show he went
BEST IN SHOW! The next day at Karjaa All Breed Ch Show he took again
group-1 and BIS-3!! Well done again to Hannele and Usko!!
At Karjaa show he won his 30th CC!! Must be a record for a WSS!
The same weekend his brother Benton Olympic Gold took 2 more CC's
to his credit.

We had a very good day at Rusko Ch Show almost hitting the jackpot!
We made it to the three finals, that took place on the day and in
every single of them, the placement was BIS-2! Int Ch Benton Delaware
Stoem won BIS-2 placement in veteran finals, my breeders group finished
BIS-2 and finally Int Ch Benton Everybody Duck went all the way
to BIS-2!! Well done to all concerned!

the two Int Ch shows in Helsinki and Hamina. He took CC and CACIB

Ed aka FIN CH Benton Lookin' For Duck has today left to Norway.
He will be staying with Merete Sanne, av Vettin Kennel for some
time.

We had a good day at Turku FKK Int Ch Show. Int Ch Benton Everybody
Duck went BOS. His kids did well too. His son Benton Made For Oz
was 2nd best male with CC and resCACIB (will change into CACIB)
and his daughter Wesper Lead The Way was BOB with CC and CACIB.

Benton Mulberry Wine had A hips and now it is finalised the plans
that she will be bred to Multiwinner Benton One More Duck (B) later
on the year.
Year has started well for Eero aka AM CH Benton Ivy League, at the
big Florica Circuit he took 3 more BOB wins and one group 1! At
AKC Eukanuba Invitational he managed to get again Award of Merit
thus qualifieing again to Crufts! Maybe we will see Eero make the
round in that green carpet one day.

At American Spaniel Club Show, Am Ch Benton Nevada Storm had a good
weekend, he was BOS Sweepstakes on friday, on sunday he competed
in BOB competition and made 2 cuts. Ida, Benton Olympic Fire was
on sunday 2nd in her class.
