Six winnertitles in a week. What can I say?
At Nordic Winner Show in Stockholm, we had an unforgettable day! Judge
John Thirlwell of the well known Ferndel WSS.
Int Ch Benton One More Duck took BOB and went on to Group-2 in a strong gundog group,
Int Ch Benton Let 'Em Talk took BOS.
FINJW-07 Benton Victorias Secret added another title in front of her name, now
NORDJW-07. Benton Under Oath went to his first official show to take honourable
2nd place in a class of 11 juniormales! Benton was BOB breeders group.
At the last 8 Nordic winner shows, Benton has managed to take BEST OF BREED win
in 6 of those shows! Thanks to all concerned and especially thanks for Jan and Lotte
for letting me show Martta. I am looking forward to the next adventure with her:)

It is especially nice that Ilona (Pep Talk) managed to keep her position # 2 although
she was out of the showrings all autumn due to producing maybe some of the most
promising puppies I have ever had. I hope they continue to develope well.
Pearl at Wesper and Pep Talk were the only two bitches in the litter - I can be proud of
these two beauties!

In top 10, FIN CH FinJW-06 Benton Quit Talkin' finished # 7, she also was busy rearing
a litter in the autumn.

We managed to take this year 3 out of the 4 titles!
Benton Victory Lap and Benton Victorias Secret, aged 10 months
both took Finnish Junior Winner-07 titles and Victory Lap got the dog
Res CC and Victorias Secret the bitch CC! Their sister Benton Vanity Fair won
Bitch res CC. Best bitch CACIB BOS and FINW-07 title went to Ch EuJw-06
Benton Pearl at Wesper., who also finished the year as #1 WSS in Finland 2007!
FINW-07 title in males went to a son of FINW-00 Benton Deep Feelings -

Let 'Em Talk to 2nd place. Berta got therefore her 2nd CC in Denmark at her
2nd show in juniorclass over there. She also has BOB and CC in Czech Republic.

Good weekend again. At Praque Int Ch show, one of those Crufts qualification
shows, 9 month old Berta (Benton U Can Talk) took BEST OF BREED and went on
to GROUP-3 and thus also qualified for Crufts! Well done Lotte and Jan.
Same weekend we showed at Jyvaskyla Int Ch show, which had one of the
biggest entries of the year. BOB and BOS to Benton One More Duck and Benton Pearl

Some good news from the UK. The sire of Benton U-litter aka
S U(u) CH Menstonia Marcel JW "Boy" has today won his 1st CC and BOB
at Driffield Ch show in the UK. Well done to "Boy" and Christine. We are
hoping 'daddy-Boy' will soon add GB SH CH title in front of his name:)
At the same show Bitch CC went to Ferndel Hollyberry which made her into
a GB SH CH. I especially was very pleased to hear this, as I gave Hollyberry
her first CC and BOB at SKC Ch show in May! Well done

Int Ch WW-06 Benton No More Secrets took two more open
class 2nd prizes at hunting tests this weekend proving again
that this kennel is not only breeding "showdogs" as often remarked
in various situations:)) Benton dogs have also done well
in agility and obedience fields. Well done to the ambitious owners!

Am Ch Benton Essence O Wales JH SH after a succesful day of
pheasant hunting with Greg. 'Stetson" easily earned his JH title by passing
four straight legs in a row and he went on to gain his Senior Hunter title as well. Now this
keen hunter is 9 years old and still going strong!

Martta aka INT NORD CH EuW-06 KBHW-07 Benton Let 'Em Talk is
currently # 2 in Welsh of the Year 2007 competition in Denmark, although she
started her showcareer in Denmark in May without much coat after
her litter of 9 in january. Well done to Lotte and Jan!
In Finland the current situation is that the two littermates (Marttas daughters!)
are leading welsh of the year competition as Ch Benton Pearl at Wesper is # 1 and
NordJW-05 SW-07 Benton Pep Talk is #2 followed by Ch FinJW-06
Benton Quit Talkin' as # 4, them three being top three bitches!
Not too bad, considering that Pearl and Pep Talk were the only two bitches
in the litter and Quit Talkin' also was one of the 2 bitch puppies in her litter!

While I was judging in Poland, I got a very nice phonecall to my hotelroom to
tell the news that one of Saras (Int Ch Benton Delaware Storm) daughters
from her last litter (the only bitch in the litter) Int Ch WW-06 Benton No More
Secrets had got 2nd prize at a hunting test and thus becoming one of the very few
swedish full champions!

A good day at Tervakoski Fkk Int Ch show. Ilona (Benton Pep Talk)
took BOB and was shortlisted in the group. This was her last
show before her hopeful litter in october! A great way to end the showseason.
Her mom, Int Nord Ch Benton Let Em Talk had a nice time at
Gold Cup in Denmark. Yesterday she took BOB and today Best Bitch-2 and she
was awarded the trophy "Best WSS of the weekend". Berta aka
Benton U Can Talk, took BOB puppy both days and today she was BIS-4 puppy.

I spent a lovely weekend in Holland judging males and
puppies at Dutch WSSC Championship Show. It was great to see
Mansel and Avril Young (Wainfelin) who were over too, as Mansel took
care of judging the bitches. We had really nice time!

Ilona aka NordJW-05 SW-07 Benton Pep Talk has now been mated succesfully
to Dons Paparazzi aka Prince. It has been very hectic arranging everything.
I am off to judge at the Dutch WSSC Championship show (males and puppies) tomorrow,
will arrive back late monday afternoon. I will leave same evening to Sweden to pick
up Ilona, who has been staying at Dons kennel for over a week. On tuesday Risty aka
FinJW-06 Benton Quit Talkin' is flying to Norway, to be mated with N & S(u) CH NW-05
Chateau Climens av Vettin aka Tiklas. We are leaving the following sunday to Norway to pick up
Risty and visit with friends. I am very much looking forward to that trip. It will be Saras
first trip to Norway as she will be travelling along. Maybe with a bit of luck she will meet her
daddy Colin (N & DK U CH NW-95,-96,-03 KBHW-95 Kazval Call Collect) and her sister Risty (N U CH
NW-03 Benton Dew at Inu-goya). They have not met since Skokloster show in May 1997, when
Risty headed towards her new homecountry Norway....Will we see if the re-union is going to happen,
when the sisters are 11 years of age!

What a day again! At the Swedish WSSC Annual Club Show
Bentons took both BIS and BIS2! About 160 wss entered under british breed specialists.
Int Ch Benton One More Duckwent to his first show after Crufts success to take BEST IN SHOW!
Ilona aka Benton Pep Talk won the big open class (28 entries) followed
by Risty aka Benton Quit Talkin' who was 2nd! Patsy aka Benton Pearl at Wesper
won champions class. The best girl aka Int Ch Benton Delaware Storm
after trying to loose some weight (succeeding somehow) was 2nd in veteran class,
showing at 11 yrs with the same enthusiasm as always! In best bitch class
Ilona, Patsy and Risty were all picked up among the last 7. Patsy was best bitch-4
and to my big joy, Ilona went on to win Best Bitch and later on BEST IN SHOW-2!
She is now staying in Sweden to be mated next week.

Club Show. Some 160 welsh springers is entered. Five Bentons is entered,

and thus DANISH SHOW CHAMPION title! She is now INT & NORD CH EUW-06 Benton Let Em Talk

At our annual Karkku Springer Club show, 7 bentons were shown with excellent results!
Well done to everyone and thanks for coming to the show again. Some of our future hopes
were also visiting the show, checking the show athmosphere, though still too young to be shown.

We went to Swedish Winner-07 show in Sweden. I had only entered one
bitch, but it could not have gone better. 37 wss were entered and
NordJW-05 Benton Pep Talk took CC CACIB and BOB and new title
SW-07. She now needs the fieldtest to become FIN & S CH.

Ivywilds Swan Maiden (both out of Am Ch Benton Ivy Garden). The first day of the Nationals weekend,
Trystyn Country Blue (by Benton Kansas Storm) took 5-point major. Well done to all concerned.

Wonderful class of quality dogs, the hardest decisions of the day, just splitting
hairs between these three. 1. Pakkalas Int/Fin/Sw/Nor Ch Benton One More Duck,
stunning dog, who took my eye as soon as he entered the ring, such presence, masculine
all through, so well constructed, excellent skull shape, depth of muzzle, plenty of work
below eyes, good stop, muscular arched neck, deep body of ideal lenght, super bone,
feet & forechest, straight front, wide well developed quarters, good second thigh & short
hocks, drove around the ring moving straight & true carrying his long tail well, in
super coat & condition. Have judged him as a 9 months pup in FInland & gave him BPIS & now
at Crufts as fully mature adult, I was thrilled to award him the CC.

Another good day, this time at Tampere FKK Int Ch show. Patsy aka Ch Benton
Pearl at Wesper went to her third show this year to win best bitch each time.
She took BOB and was shortlisted in the group. Her sister Pep Talk was 2nd best
bitch with resCACIB and Benton Quit Talkin' took the Bitch CC. Jalo aka
Benton Talk Talk Talk was BOB puppy. My breeders group was shortlisted in BIS.

Senni aka Benton Unique Talk was the tiniest puppy of the litter and therefore
turned out to be the one who was always bit of a favourite and a bit 'spoiled'.
She was also the first one to leave. As the others, moved to a lovely home.

muzzle) thing, that so many of my favourites had.... Risty, Ivy...

Ch Laugharne Secret Affair in Australia was inseminated yesterday
with Int Ch Benton Everybody Duck. We keep our fingers crossed that there
will be new Ducks in the land of Oz in about 2 months! While in the USA
Am Ch Benton Ivy Garden, who was inseminated with Ch Benton Lookin' For Duck
in the end of january appears to be in whelp, so we look
forward to seeing the puppies born soon.

The same day Jalo and Maisa from my T-litter debuted in
puppyclasses, well done to everyone! Marttas and Tyynes puppies

Puppies are 4 weeks today. They had a bit loose tummies in the end of last week.
I was judging in Denmark during the weekend and was not at all happy to leave them,
as they were not feeling that well. Big thanks to Elina, who took care of them while I was
away. Now they are almost back to normal and playful and starting to eat proper food now.

At the big Spaniel and Retriever Specialty in Lahti today, we again had a
good day. The sisters, Ch EuJW-06 Benton Pearl at Wesper and NordJw-05
Benton Pep Talk performed well, Patsy took BOB and Ilona CC and Best Bitch-2,
thus getting her last CC! She just needs the fieldtest to finish her FIN CH title!
The sisters also took BIS3 brace under Mr Frank Kane, UK.
Benton breeders group went all the way to BIS!!! Thanks to everyone for
joining the group again!

with another title on Eero. He finished his AXJ title and also has now
totel of 6 (out of 10) legs towards his master title!! Well done again, Eero

The first show for me today, Turku Top Dog Show. It could not have
gone better. Wiljami aka NordJW-05 Benton Pigs Might Fly has only
been shown on 4 weekends, this time he took his 2nd CC CACIB and BOB!
In addition to his 2 resCC's. Sister Patsy aka EuJW-06 Benton Pearl at Wesper
took her last CC, CACIB and was BOS. Patsy is now FIN CH! Well done to everyone!
Another littersister NordJW-05 Benton Pep Talk got the Bitch resCACIB.
My breeders group was BOB and shortlisted in BIS

Int Ch Benton Delaware Storm "Sara"

This weekend was a good start for 2007 for Saras kids and grandkids ! Great results on
both side of the ocean:) It started on friday at the prestigious American Spaniel
Club show in the US. Saras young granddaughter Am Ch Mystic Acres I Hope You Dance
(sired by Am Ch Benton Ivy League) went BEST IN SWEEPSTAKES! Well done to Carla and Keith!
It continued on saturday, grandson Filson aka Trystyn's Blue Rodeo (sired by Dutch Ch
Benton Kansas Storm) went Winners Dog from 12-18 mos dogs class to take 5 point major, his second
such win! Well done to Sandy!! In bitches Ivywilds Swan Maiden (out of Am Ch Benton Ivy Garden)
took 1st place in Puppy 9-12 mos class as well as Trystyns Country Blue (sired by Dutch Ch
Benton Kansas Storm) won 12-18 mos bitch class. Well done to Marion, Faye, Sandy and Cindy!
Not to forget that Reserve Winners Bitch went to a granddaughter of FINW-00 Benton Deep Feelings (littersister to Sara) Well done to all concerned.

litterbrother 'Duke' (Mystic Acres Devil In Disquise) went to Florida for some shows and took his last points for AM CH title as well as the next day he went all the way to BOB win!

While in Europe, at the WSSC of South Wales open show, young Ted aka Redfrith Dutch Master
(sired by Dutch Ch Benton Kansas Storm) took 1st place in puppy, junior and novice classes.
At Kajaani Int Ch Show, the first such show in Finland in 2007, bitch CACIB and BOS went to
Saras daughter Ch WW-06 Benton No More Secrets. Well done !!
