This weekend INT CH WW-06 Benton No More Secrets got her 2nd 1st price
in open class hunting test within a week and went on to take Winners class
2nd prize on sunday.

Risty continued her winning ways at Budapest Spaniel Club Ch show by
taking 2nd CC in Hungary and BOB and thus finishing her HUNGARIAN
CHAMPION title, the first ever for a finnish welsh springer.
Vappu aka Benton Who's Talkin' was BOB junior. Vappus sister Lisbeth, Benton
Winter Storm took a very nice best bitch-4 placement at Kongsvinger NKK Int in a good
entry. Well done to all!

Lovely weekend in Denmark! We went to two shows and
Martta aka Int Ch Benton Let Em Talk took BOB both days and finished
on sunday as BIS-2 at Spaniel Club Ch Show. It was great to see all danish
friends and others from abroad during the weekend. Thank you to Lotte and Jan

placement at Porvoo all breed ch show under Hans Rosenberg. She went Group-3.
She has taken group placement every time she has been to a group ring this year.

Anne and Benton Winter Storm attended an Int Ch show in Sweden and lovely
Lisbeth took a nice Best Bitch-3 placement from a juniorclass in a good entry. Well done!

Hymy aka Benton Reason To Talk is back in business. After rearing a litter of 9
this summer, she has gone back to her tracking hobby. Today she participated
in a tracking test near Jyvaskyla and got 1st prize with 40 points. She needs two
more 1st's to become Finnish Tracking Champion. Well done Anne and Hymy
Also today the sire of our U-litter ie S U(u) CH Menstonia Marcel JW "Boy"
got his 2nd CC at Richmond Ch show in the UK under Mrs Anne Walton
(Kennel Hillpark). Well done Boy!! We keep our fingers crossed, that
he will get his third CC soon!

1st CC and also BOB at Helsinki All Breed Ch Show! Two other bentons were
shown, both winning the resCC; juniorlittermates Benton What Women Want and

What an incredible weekend! We travelled to Kuopio Sawo Show weekend,
where they had three Int Ch shows in one place, starting from friday. Two benton males
and five bitches were entered and what fantastic results!
BOB win with three different Benton dogs, BOS twice, 5 CACIB's
2 res CACIB's, 3 CC's, 3 resCC's, Group-2, shortlisted in the group the two other days!
Thanks to the puppybuyers and friends for a great weekend in Kuopio!
The stars of the weekend were definately Ossi (Ch FinJW-06 Benton Somebodys Duck)
who was best male each day, winning 3 CACIB's, 2 BOS and BOB! Well done Minna and Antti!
Also 9 month old Mimmi, Benton Walk of Fame had a fabulous weekend, BOB with CC on saturday,
Best Bitch-2 with CC on sunday and Best Bitch-4 on friday! On top of that she was shortlisted
in the gundog group among last 6 under Tamas Jakkel! Not a bad start for a 9-month-old lady!

Well, sometimes miracles happen! Never ever in our wildest dreams did we think
that we would leave the showground with a brand new BEST IN SHOW winner!!
Erkki aka Benton Ugly Duckling took BIS at the tender age of 18 months, we
believe he is the youngest ever BIS winning wss in Finland at all breed Ch shows,
in fact maybe only the second wss ever to win BIS at an all breed Ch show.

Erkki aka Benton Ugly Duckling took another CC and his first BOB win!
He did not stop there, he went on to win the Gundog group!!! This is now the third
Benton WSS who has won a group at an all breed Ch show this year in Finland. Tomorrow is BIS final,
so we will be heading there. His littersister Papu aka Benton United We Stand took
her 2nd CC at this show. Well done to Katja, Olli and Anu.

We have returned back from our trip to the World Winner Show weekend and
what a trip we had. It all started at the WSSC of Sweden Club show on friday.
Benton Under Oath took the Dog CC from intermediate class. Benton Victorias Secret
surprised us all by taking the Bitch CC and going all the way to Best Bitch and BIS-2 in an
entry of 109 welsh springers!!! Benton Pep Talk won big open class and got the Bitch res CC.
Ch Benton Pearl at Wesper won champion. Ch Benton Quit Talkin', Benton Ugly Duckling and
Benton One More Duck were all placed in their respective classes. Breeders group was BIS!
Our judge was Mr Tony Pascoe, UK.

The success continued at the Swedish Spaniel and
Retriever Club Ch show the next day. Benton Ugly Duckling won junior male class, then
Benton Under Oath won again intermediate and took his 2nd CC of the weekend! Benton
One More Duck was 3rd in champion class. The four Benton girls that were shown, all won
their classes and this time Ch Benton Pearl at Wesper was Best Bitch, Benton Pep Talk got her
2nd CC from Sweden and Benton Quit Talkin and Benton Victorias Secret were first in their classes.
Breeders group was BOB. Our judge was Patsy Hollings, breeder of the famous Gunalt Weimaraners.
In the BIS final, my breeders group went all the way to BIS-2 in hard competition under Mr
David Shields from the UK. Patsy aka Benton Pearl at Wesper showed her best in the BIS final
floating through the ring to an honourable BIS-2 placement in stone hard competition!

Sunday and WW show. In big junior class, only males 5 got excellent, including the two
benton brothers, who were placed 2nd (Under Oath) and 3rd (Ugly Duckling). Soon after
Svea (Victorias Secret) took an honourable 2nd place (over 20 junior bitches) in junior class
with excellent. Benton Pep Talk took again 2nd place in a big open bitch class (21 bitches)
Ch Benton Pearl at Wesper was 3rd in champion class. Since the winner of open was already
Swedish Champion, Benton Pep Talk "Ilona" went in to compete for the Bitch CC which she won and since
this was her 3rd swedish CC she was made up!! As the class winner, Ch Caseins Asclepias Erosa
took Bitch CACIB (and WW title, well done Lars and Geir!!!) "Ilona" went again to compete for the
res CACIB and she got that as well, so we can say she was 2nd best bitch at the WW show, which
is absolutely great! In male ring, Ch Benton One More Duck won later on Champion class and also
CACIB and is now WORLD WINNER-08!

It has been 13 years, 11 months exactly today when my beloved Tumppi
(INT FIN N CH NORDW-86,-87 FINW-87,-88 Delkens Turul) died at almost 11 years
of age. He was a legend of his time, sire of 40 champions, numerous other CC winners,
a big winner in showring, the first WSS to win a group at an Int Ch show in Finland.
He sired quality puppies and is behind many of finnish welsh springers today.
When we started to think of the possibility to mate Patsy, FIN CH EuJW-06 FINW-07
Benton Pearl at Wesper, #1 WSS in Finland 2007,
we decided to do it if we find the right stud dog for her.
And I think we found the best possible choice for her. Patsy has today been
inseminated with the frozen semen from Delkens Turul. The semen was collected 19 years
ago and it was incredible moment to see those 'guys' swimming hard on the microscope!
After all these years they were still alive and now its just all we can do is hope that
this has worked out and we can welcome to the world new little Tumppis in august.
Big thanks to everyone, especially Virpi for letting me breed Patsy and to my vet Tiina
Illukka for collecting the semen 19 years ago and for doing the insemination. Now its just
a lot of good wishes that this really is working out!
And last but not least Del and Ken Spate, Turuls breeders who in 1983 sent me
this truly an amazing puppy!

we had Kath Morgan (Cwrt Afon), UK judging the breed and the entry was 86.

Mimmi aka Benton Walk of Fame went on all the way to BOB puppy followed by her
sister Vappu aka Benton Who's Talkin'. Mimmi ended the day by winning

Papu aka Benton United We Stand won junior bitch class, ended up Best Bitch-4 and got
the Bitch resCC, Benton Pep Talk, Benton Quit Talkin', Benton Hole In One, Benton One More Duck, Benton Victorias Secret, Benton Ugly Duckling were all placed in honourable
2nd place in their respective classes.
The soon mother-to-be Benton Reason To Talk won her class and is now waiting for her

Ilona aka NordJW-05 SW-07 Benton Pep Talk has returned back to the showrings after
producing her lovely litter with great style. Today at Hamina all breed Int Ch show she did it
again, won the gundog group under gundogspecialist Eeva Rautala and went on again to
BIS-4 placement under Elina Tan-Hietalahti! She did the same as a 1,5 yr old in Maarianhamina
Int Ch show back in 2006. Benton Under Oath was the other Benton shown at the show and he did
well, too. A nice Best Male-2 with res CC from juniorclass. Well done Henna!
Hymy, the hopeful mother-to-be EstJW-06 Benton Reason To Talk went to a tracking test before
her hopeful litter in the end of june to take 1st prize in open class with excellent score of 49 point out
of 50 and being also "Best dog in the test". She is now in Winners Class. Well done at Anne and Hymy!
In Denmark, the other hopeful mother-to-be Martta aka Int Nord Ch Benton Let 'Em Talk (dam of Ilona)
had her last show before her hopeful litter and took again BOB while daughter Berta (Benton U Can

This is Statesmans Ducks Unlimited aka Goose, one of the 9 puppies from the
AI litter at Statesmans Kennels in the US. The sire of the litter is
Int Ch Benton Everybody Duck. Goose went to live with her uncle Stetson
(Am Ch Benton Essence'O'Wales) and several other relatives at Kennel Trystyn.
We will follow with Gooses' and her littermates future with great interest.

(Dutch Ch Benton Kansas Storm - AM CH Trystyns Get Your Wings)

WSSCA National Specialty weekend took place now. On friday at the supported
entry Trystyn Magical Mystery Tour (by Ch Benton Kansas Storm) took WB and BOW
and 5-point major finishing her AM CH title. At the National Specialty on saturday
BOS went to AM CH Ivywilds Dew You Believe (out of AM CH Benton Ivy Garden)
Eero aka AM CH Benton Ivy League won best dog in veteran sweepstakes and celebrated
his 8th birthday on the weekend. On sunday AM CH Trystyns Blue Rodeo (by Ch Benton
Kansas Storm) took BOS win!
Well done to all concerned! Sara is very proud of her grandkids:) and his son Eero.
Saras sister Vipe (Benton Deep Feeligs) was granddam to the Winners Dog (and new AM CH) on
friday, Heatherstone's Jopa Blue.

At Finnish Spaniel Clubs 2nd annual Ch show in Helsinki, the two puppies
Benton What Women Want and Benton Who's Tallkin' had a good day taking
BOB BOS puppy and Vappu (Who's Talkin') finishing BIS-2 puppy.

I went to see Norwegian Spaniel Club Ch show in Kristiansand on saturday
and had the pleasure to see Lisbeth aka Benton Winter Storm along with her
owners Anne and Jan (Kennel Adorabel). The show was held in a beautiful spot.
Big thanks to Frank and Stig for a lovely weekend in Norway! A lot of dog talk and
great company!

Martta aka INT NORD CH KLB CH EUV-06 KBHW-07 NORDW-07 Benton Let 'Em Talk
has today been inseminated with AM CH BISS Benton Ivy League. We now keep our
fingers crossed that all goes well and we can welcome Eeros and Marttas daughter
to Finland in the autumn! Puppies will be born at Kennel Churnwood in Denmark.

Eero was # 1 WSS in the US 2004, the first undocked BIS winner all breeds,

my heart:)

Standard-Bearer Gladiator today. So we are waiting for the litter to born in the end

and the results are all normal.

A lot of new results coming up. Martta aka Int Ch Benton Let Em Talk has kept the
flag flying in Denmark, a Group-2 and BIS-2 results lately. She has just been
thyroid tested at 6 years of age and like her dam Int Ch Benton Garden Party
had good results, all being normal. We are of course very pleased about that!
Martta will be inseminated with Am Ch Benton Ivy League shortly.

has added another title in front of his name,
he is now also Slovakian Champion! Well done to Jana & co!

One succesful show...at Tampere Int Ch Show Benton WSS took
BOB BOS, both CC's and CACIB's. The breedjudge was John Thirlwell, of the well known
Ferndel WSS from UK. Int Ch Benton One More Duck was BOB
and went on to win the gundog group under Mr Frank Kane.
BOS to a juniorbitch Benton United We Stand winning her 1st CC.
Her litterbrother Benton Ugly Duckling went to his 2nd show of the year
to win CC #2 and best male-2. Another littermate Benton Under Oath was best male-4.
Ch Benton Pearl at Wesper was best bitch-2 with CACIB and Ch Benton Quit Talkin'
came back from maternity leave to take Best bitch-4 placement. Again thanks for
the handlers who stepped in when we needed help!
Lisbeth aka Benton Winter Storm went to her first puppy show in Norway today
to win BOB puppy and Group-2. Well done Anne and Lisbet

I have just returned from a short trip to Crufts and visiting friends.
Martta (INT NORD CH Benton Let 'Em Talk) and her daughter
Berta (Benton U Can Talk) were both shown at this worlds biggest dogshow.
Berta was VHC in Puppy class and Martta unplaced in open bitch class (17 bitches).
Martta showed beautifully, as always and was groomed to perfection by Michael from Kennel Galaksi -

Ossi aka FINJW-06 took his last CC today at Tuusniemi group Ch show
finishing as BOB! Now he only needs to pass the test to finish his FIN CH title.
BOS was his mom Int Ch Benton No More Secrets. Ossi did well also in the
group finishing as Group-4! Well done Minna and Ossi

Exciting news from America
AM CH Statesmans Northern Dancer "Carly" was inseminated with
Int Ch Benton Everybody Duck "Ducky" in january. "Carly" appears to
be in whelp and the litter is due 12th of March!
We are keeping our fingers crossed that all goes well and new little Ducky-kids
will see the daylight. The litter will be born at Kennel Statesman in Georgia, USA.
"Carly" herself is a result of an AI litter and her sire is Ch Kazval Call Collect
from Norway (also sire of Int Ch Benton Delaware Storm) so this combination
is pedigreewise very similar to my K-litter!

Benton Let Em Talk has started the year like it ended in 2007,
with great success:) Her two first shows in 2008 have resulted
in 2 BOB wins. At Odense DKK Int Ch show she took BOB again, her
daughter Benton U Can Talk took CC # 3 from junior class in Denmark.

Benton U and V-litters turned 1 year last week. Benton United We Stand and
Benton Victorias Secret were officially hips x-rayd today and all looked good,
so now we are waiting for the official results. Several puppies from the litters
will be x-rayd in a very near future, thanks to the owners for being very co-operative
in this area and having them done eagerly. We hope all goes well with the others too:)

Benton Victorias Secret got the CC's and CH Benton Pearl at Wesper got the Bitch CACIB.
Benton Victorias Secret went all the way to Best Bitch and BOS!
Res bitch CC went to Benton Vanity Fair. Congratulations to all.
The three juniors, Ugly Duckling, Victorias Secret, Virgin Island and Ch Benton Pearl
at Wesper were shown in Benton breeders group, which went all the way to BIS3 in hard
